Ownership of Copyright By commissioning artwork from Pillars of Doom Studios, you acknowledge that I, the artist, retain full ownership of the copyright for the commissioned artwork. This includes the exclusive right to reproduce, distribute, and display the artwork, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Grant of Commercial Rights to the Client Upon full payment for the commissioned artwork, you (the client) are granted commercial rights to use the artwork for purposes such as marketing, advertising, merchandise, or any other commercial activity, subject to the terms of this agreement. These rights are non-exclusive, and the artwork may not be sold or sublicensed to third parties without my consent.
Portfolio Display and Credit While you retain commercial rights to the artwork, I, the artist, retain the right to display the commissioned artwork in my portfolio for purposes of showcasing my work. This may include display on my website, social media platforms, or other promotional materials. When the artwork is displayed, appropriate credit to you, the client, will always be provided, ensuring recognition of your role as the commissioner.
Exclusions to Copyright and Usage Rights This policy does not affect any other specific agreements or licenses that may be separately negotiated. Should you wish to acquire exclusive rights to the artwork or modify the terms of usage, such a request must be discussed and agreed upon in a separate contract.
By commissioning the artwork, you agree to these terms and acknowledge that I, the artist, retain ownership of the copyright while granting you the agreed-upon commercial rights and usage. You also consent to the display of the artwork in my portfolio with proper credit to you.
